1349 days ago 1 categories Arrived late to see hoppy getting the best wind of the day on the smooth, as it was more west and lighter than forcast I rigged the 7m Lofrt RB CA SL101 FF22 seemed the go. Wanted the extra float to make sure I could get back OK. Got a couple of teaser blasts on the smooth but was clipping on the dropping tide so headded out to the 2nd lease for a few runs & picked up a couple knots. The wind was not as forcast & didnt fell right so told hoppy I was headding in half way my adhustable out haul cleat slipped down the boom so sailed home with a baggy sail. Felt like a winter sail

F2 SXs 90, GPS 6, FF sid
It was raining at home when i left and i was not keen to rig in the rain. Few spots whilst rigging but it cleared off and headed out into light wind. SSW is not ideal at Stansbury as the beat back puts you on the line over to the jetty. However the low tide height was just enough to stay on top of the spit the whole time but a lot of clipping with the Fangosmasher. Trick was late out and he was having trouble keeping up with " Benjamin Button". Was gunna come in but it was good clear running out the back so stayed out until the wind started dropping. It was a great day sailing today, well chuffed

1349 days ago eL'Bog, 18kt-25kt souwester with angry gusts, and sailors out in force.
I strapped into my Falcon 79l on top a Sabre 32.5 and hung on to a 6.2 Mach2. Lively at times, it took some fiddling but in the last half hour I was riding quite comfortably. Need windy days so I can play with this board some more.
Looking the goods were the Captain, Sam, ChrisD, Leon, Jay, newcomer Ryan. As I wrapped my day, everyone was still going hard, and Stash and Big Kym were suiting up to join them.
Great representation on a challenging day.

1349 days ago Nice day out with a decent sized crew. Started out windy and wet and we waited till the rain eased to rig. It didn't look like it was going to ease so rigged. With the forecast and already a decent breeze i went with the 5.7 ka speed, patrik 87 and R325 fin. Great combo and very happy how it performed in some gusty winds.
For a change the wind blew all day even picked up as we derigged.
Great day on the water and so good to be back on the small kit for a change - more PLEASE...
Boggy lake - 18 to 25.
Patrik 87 / 2021 ka speed 5.7 / Black project R325 / R30.

1349 days ago el Bog. I really really really love these Boggy sessions, even though the chop was murder. These sessions tell you if you have tuned your gear or not.
92 Patrick Slalom ][ + 5.5 Kasail race + tribal 25cm speedweed: Sail goes slightly backhanded when big gust hits and difficult to get up wind. So, needs more tuning. I'm still getting experience with this rig, even though I've owned it over a year. I did my top speed on this combo.
NCX 6.0 with same board above: Holly crap this sail felt horrible. Totally goes backhanded. Need to go back to the drawing board with this one. It was so perfect for the past two Stansbury sessions ??. This gear was slow. This is a new sail and getting to know it.
JP FSW 85 + Sailworks Hucker 4.2 + 20cm BP freeweed. Perfecto !!! . It even took my FSW board up to the pocket. It points so well.
Good to see ChrisD, Leon, Trouser bogan, Carl, Sam D, Big Sam, Phil with his new Windtech board, Stash, Kymbo, and the kid that helled out "MUTHA *****A !!" really really maniacally loud it made my blood chill. Thanks Stash for helping me put a Severne sticker on my Sailworks sail
