Slowboat (49232km):  5 categories  Melville Beach, WA, AU windy when I got there and before... so rigged 7.1m on the 137 with 33wsp for some speed runs... and then it died as I stepped into the water. Was very dead apart from two short rain squalls- enough to get 3 runs powered up! Good fun for those short moments. A lot of time standing in the water waiting for wind to get planing. Forecast fail. Good to catch up with a few of the crew.

| Lachy (153km): 2 categories Session from yesterday's west-north-wester, there were big gusts and very big holes as the wind continued to die off into the afternoon. There was very big chop and swell like waves is some parts of the river making it a bit uncontrollable but I continued to handle the conditions well. Went for numerous speed runs but I didn't get the speeds I thought I would which is disappointing but it was great to see that I was consistently going quick. Spent hours on the water so I could get my kilometres up and ended up with raging hands after wards but was a great experience even getting some coaching from Chris | ||||||||||||||||||
