Green Island, QLD, AU  Crazy windy day on the Island with lots of water moving /gusts over 35 knots /way too much East in the wind & a super chopped up speed run .

Strongest wind I've sailed in since a scary Lake George Westerly 2 1/2 yrs ago .Surprised

Couldnt make it happen today .

Started on the FF 52.5 Tsw 25 Evo 11 5.6 but initially so much wind I couldnt hook in .Angles were all wrong & every time I tried to go deep to the wind the fin let go ....Aggghhrrrr .Felt like a gumby ...  Switched to the jp speed 50 tribal delta 16 as the water got shallow but the wind was retreating so it was hard to get any speed on the run . Last 2-3 runs felt comfortable & balanced but wind had dropped 5 knots .

Fast gps unit had a 40.72 on the dial but card reader not working ...Cry

Late afternoon session started about 20mins before sunset .Tide was charging in with the wind all over the shop .Again couldnt make it happen .

Tried both boards & the new Evo 12 6.6  but  best I could do was a 38 ...

Kudos to Kel for a great morning session & Toodie for making an appearance after 2 yrs off the water ..!!Cool

Try again tomorrow ...Laughing

Ripper efforts from the A team!!! Cool Had a feeling there would be some forties posted! Laughing - I've got dirty undies just thinking about how challenging it would have been there today considering wind strength, direction, tide...
