New sail to try out woohoo. Steve was already out on a 6.0 and Chris heading into the water with A 6.0 too, 8.0 sounds the go hey!?!? Well it looked ordinary out there and Steve only just up & FlyNoDieing so it was a good idea or was it. Hit the water and pretty much straight up and flying. Hmm this is ok til that gusty goodness hits me, ooooh it’s a bit much so have a swim & swap clew holes. Much better. Chris was grovelling about and Steve was sailing one armed after his second jab.
Pretty impressive sail, larger (but not race sail large) luff pocket. Tall and a big foot but short boom with 2 installed adj OH pulleys. I did lots of 5+ km runs a few almost flying gybes and few swims, yay all with a huge sail. I thought that my 2sec might have been better but it’s a top 3 FlyNoDie number and NM was good showing that mid run touch downs are fewer. The boys got the luck with dolphin encounters while I saw no Mermaidens in the water. Boardies again too. 101 then take out for dinner, I’ll smash the nachos!! Another great sesh.
