On my lovely new slalom Modena 118, 7m Mach3, 36cm SB slalom fin (useless!) in the sunshine and warm water of Melville and only two other sailboards but about 15 wing foil thingies sat in the water.

Albany, WA, AU. Day didn't start off so well.  Top of mast had splintered but only found out as loaded into new (but old) sail and parts of the mast punched a hole through the sail.   Some duct tape seemed to hold it together so went out.  Did a few sort of naughty attempts then Waricle rolled up and together we had a nice cruise around with the wise old man showing me the ropes especially the last few hundred meters of the naughty.  Did a pile of Alpha attempts and really startef using the DIY GPS gate indicator which was really helpful.  Nearly every alpha was a PB or 22+ from previous attempts which was nice.  So much easier in flat water and constant wind. Thought I have a break for lunch and come back and try the smaller board since wind supposedly getting stronger.  First time launching at Lilacs end, did one speed run, one naughty (which oddly was exactly the same as the mornings best), turned around and the boom/mast rope broke.  Managed to fix it, did a few Alphas as never really gybed this smaller board but didn't want to push my luck with the repairs so called it a day.   Evets turned up as rigging down (nice to meet you).   Morning session iSonic97, 7.0 KA RAce, FF22 then afternoon iSonic86 with same gear.  Wanted to try the FF18 with this setup but will wait for another day.  In hind sight probably should have done another long speed run to get a PB 5x10 but will settle for second best. Video of the day and a few days eith side for those interested.  Editted a while ago but no internet to upload.  https://youtu.be/Zrwa1h5nQtY
