Lake George, South Australia.

A nice day on the Lake. Smile

Mid 20's gusting high 20's at times.

The wind kicked in quite abrubtly at around 1pm so I went straight for the 5.2m and CA40 speed board. Did quite a few 38's and 39's and then got a couple of faster ones, which was very nice.

I came in and rigged the 5.7m so Kato and I could have a go on the tamdem speed board, but went out to test it on the Mistral 47 first. Not as fast as the smaller gear, but I had the sail rigged a lot flatter. Easy enough to control so I went back for a tandem try.

2 x 5.7m sils on the tambem. Pleantly of power, but we didnt get going at all as we just could not drag the fin out of the weed and the mud. Frown

Went back and had a few more runs on the M47 with the 5.7m but no better. Then a final go on the CA40 and 5.2m, but the wind started dying so I came in.

Bets speeds on the CA40 with 19cm Tribal weedspeed and 2022 5.2m KA Race. Also ran the M47 with the 2022 5.7m KA Race and 17cm Atomic Nuclear. Also tried to run the Tandem speed board: 10'8" x 20"

Lake George, SA, AU Two manually combined tracks as I switched off for the tandem runs.

Tried the 7.7 with the Fangy at first....way too much wind but I'm keen to get it to 40 Tongue out 3x 2 sec peaks of 37.2 .....might have hit the sound barrier with it.Laughing A couple of big offs convinced me to change down to the 5.7 and a smaller board.

Quick play with that then get the tandem ready to run. No matter how hard we tried or how deep we started we could't get the weed to let go of the fin. After a good half hr of smashing and crashing we called it and Daffy sailed in with the one sail and I dragged mine in through the mud. Thanks Mark for bringing my board out. Legend.

Smashed out a few Nm with Byron and called it a day.

Sl120, Fangy 28, KaRace 7.7

Sl52, Atomic Weed weapon 20, Koncept 5.7
