Wind was on today but rather than chasing the smooth organised it with Bob to go the lumpy goodness at Novara and having spent the season going back and forth accorss the channel I'd forgotten what proper lumpy goodness was.
Was trying outthe RRD wioth pointers today the 32 wasn't to bad got upwind ok but didn't generate anywhere enough lift, so tried the nemesis and that just didn't want to go anywhere near upwind in comparison, so went the 37 which was a bit large for this board, went ok but the legs were a bit rubbery to contend with it.
Got one lone long run over to Claudesville which ended up being a 9km leg each way.
Some serious junk in the middle, got more than a few jumps in, largest swell lines were just over waist high.
Lotta fun, not as quick as Liptons but definately a whole lotta Lumpy goodness.

1052 days ago Stress release blast at Liptons. Really needed that!
wind was stronger than I thought it would be, read 20av 24 gust on the beach, without going out to the rocks.
So went withn the smalest I'd bought, the 48 board, 5.7 koncept and 20@40/60 weedy.
Wind was that strong, but not in the smooth at either end, the 20@40/60 wasn't ideal for chop, should have used a longer higher aspect ratio fin, and gone for it in the less than smooth water.
Had good company, too many to mention.

Elmo said lets do Novara and play in the lumpy goodness, cool. Got down there and it was blowing mobs, goody, 1st or 2nd run out blew my corner (buggered them all actually) and swallowed a gutful of estuary, took about 10sec and I threw up my spag sandwich. Feeling crap, got out and had a drink of real water and a sit down, burping like a chinese 2 stroke. After that I had a great time, really truely, loving the down the line runs in the wind swell, felt like I was doing 80 knots and bugger me dead that's what the watch said also, cool ha. I don't know what was going on, one run I had 38 showing, then 48 and then 88, said to Elmo one more run and I'll have 108. KA 72 and Speedreader said 2sec was 37 something which was a fairy tale, I have posted 2nd best, I'm guessing it's right.
Lost sight of Elmo disappearing over the horizon, who said the earth was flat, only us and one other sailor, a couple of mad wingers and a couple of teabags, a 11/10 day.
