748 days ago Coodanup, WA, AU. Headed south as the dial was looking a lot more promising than Melville. Arrived with the dial reading 17-22knots. Seemed to have some north in it so was in wind shadow at rig up but looked like some wind out a bit. Rigged 7.0 but then what wind there was died off and a nice rainbow came out. Rigged 8.6 as wanted to salvage a sail and went out on that. Sure enough lots of north in wind and took about 900m from shore before got planning..turned around and got one reasonable run in then wind swung nearly 90 deg SW, picked right up and down came the rain. Was brutal with the 8.6 in the blinding rain and had a few spin out due to the less than optimal setup and was considering doing a Colonel Sanders and chickening out to change to the smaller sail I'd kept rigged. The wind then dropped to a nice pleasant cruise pace still in the rain. Got a few leasurely laps of the paddock in when the wind stopped dead and was lucky to make it back to shore. iSonic97, 8.6 Severne Turbo, FF22
