el bog, again with the swingy up and down. this (mostly) ssw would have been hitting 20knots at times, but again: plenty of holes.

at first Mach4 7.0m+isonic 90+bpws34. wanted to ride a proper pointer but carp were big and breeching again. Luckily the sail's an engine and I was happily lit and able to dig deep when when the wind allowed, but still hunted a bit and worked keeping upwind, sometimes only just making the car park.

After lunch some heavier gusts had ppl change down so I swapped to my Mach5 6.2 and rocket 30. Turned out that was a bit optimistic, the wind moderated and I never really found the trigger in that session. I think too much downhaul as well.

But anyways, a good TOW with plenty of company. (Happy birthday Yetti!)

Lake Carp... I' mean Boggy Lake

Sw 15-20 knots

Was starting to be a fun day, few practice runs and tuning and I was just starting to get in the zone and wack!!!! Hit a carp around 31 knots !! Full catapult and Splat. They were everywhere today sticking their mouths up.

Snapped carbon boom so that's me out for a while on big gear

Oh well, good fitness

Boggy lake 13 to 18.

Great to see a huge turnout at Boggy and great catch up day with Sam and Casey haven't had a sesh for a long time.

Wind was marginal and picked up after we had rigged.  Most guys on bigger gear came in and changed down - unfortunately watched Kym Bogan slice go down hard after a carp strike and a long walk back - bummer mate.  Sam and me decided to go with the bigger stuff and glad we did as dropped back when we got up the top.  Everyone heeaded in and packed up but i decided to keep going to get some training and k's.  Ended up a fun little sesh at the end - awesome fun.

Patrik 115 / 7.8 loft switchblade / Tribal weed speed 33.

Nice sailing lads. Sorry to hear B/Slice. Yeah, I'm staying clear of Boggy at the moment. When is the govt going to grow some nads and drop the carp herpisvirus ?

From previous years, spawning season is a few weeks. Hopefully they go back to the bottom soon. I'm with you Goon, carp numbers must be thinned and not by means of fins. With the water flowing hard now is a good time to introduce the virus.
