Lake George, SA, AU CA66 M95 speed SCR6.3 KAR5.5 Pepe v20 & 20nw Mint Lake George day. Sunny with a moderate breeze. Started on the CA 66/6.3SCR then changed to Mistral/5.5 KAR Should have kept with the 6.3 as the wind was fairly steady. I kept to the bottom the lake just enjoying the speed run and trying out new fins. The weed is a lot thicker than last year. Lots of happy sailors and PBs galore. You had to keep alert for traffic on the water. My arm told me to knock off for the day as there’s another good day tomorrow. Happy days.

Liptons short after work sail, bit of fun

went for an hour today to improve my 78 yr old ranking, I achieved that, but could have done better if I hadn't sutuffed a couple of gybes, fin spun outon one and rehooked on another.

Started with the 55cm board, 19cm@55 fin and 5.7speed.

Not a bad combo for the hr, but wind was light on the western side, so I gave up the first attempt and had lunch, wind had picked up enough after lunch so only had 2 gybes I had to pump out of.

Harness lines were a fraction out and my arms started to pump up, I didn't get then right until I finished the hr. New firmware on the esp32 is great, I set the speed screen for alphas and hours, so as soon as the hr stopped increasing it was time to stop.

Came in for a coffee and chnged to the 48cm board with 17cm starboard assy, expecting a nice increase in speed, but I couldn't find  a decent gust in flat water, on starboard tack.

Pain wasn't worth the results, so called it. Wind promptly swung more southerly and picked up a notch, so there could be some decent numbers later.

Top runs are the hour, bottom group, looking for speed, I think I was in the wrong spot.

Fangyland with Scud, Flex and Anita plus a few others. High tide, nice breeze, just a beaut day for a splash around the paddocks.  Had a fab stack at 30 knots that knocked the stuffing out of me for a bit . I was heading downhill at a reasonable clip and got into some slightly choppier stuff and ever so slightly dug into the back of the chop in front. The board slowed at tad, but I didn't. My back foot pulled out of my bootie and I continued on a slow motion catapult around the handle bars that seemed to last forever. No damage to me or the gear and I found my bootie happily floating away a few minutes later.

Coodanup, WA, AU jp/7.8 beaut cruising around ,the investment in pedaling up to creery island was not rewarded with the downhill run ,anticlimactic.
