fangy (22868km): Fangyland with Hammer, Gloria, Flex, Kevin, Dave and a few others. Another cruisey arvo on a biggish tide. No smooth, but no real world chop either. Decided to go big on the fin and have one of those days when you just sail around for the love of sailing around. AtomicFangy150, Avalon 7.0 FF28
Stretch (32065km): Koombana Bay, WA, AU. Fun foil sesh, a bit scary at times! Foil PBs for NM, 5x 10 and alpha
Hammer (587km): Coodanup, WA, AU iSo 90, OD 7.0, Pepe 26 I was dragging the foot of the sail in the water near the leeward rail. Not really sure why but it felt really unnerving off the wind. I've only had this sail on this board once before and that was in lighter conditions. Tried lowering the boom at bit to get the sail more upright which sort of worked. Needs a bit more thinking through before next time.
Fun day with some great people.
Elmo (31962km): NP RSR E8 7.0m, Patrik 100 & LE 33.5cm, Tabou Manta & Elmo SS 41.5cm Short session at Novara. Headache from yesterday was worse today and to make things more interesting somehow managed to hurt my back this morning as well. Got there the winger's were out enjoying plenty of wind so rigged the small board, unfortunately even winger's can read the signs and all promptly came in whilst I was changing. So I went out (see if you can guess when by reading the graph) did a couple of runs but under done so I came in and changed boards to the larger one (see if you can guess when I went back out again). With the return of the wind and the larger board was nicley powered up unfortunately the footstrapps were set up for clown shows, so the first run was a bit nervous. Second run after tightening the footstraps felt a bit more confident, but when I got down to the rock garden hit some wonky chop which jarred my back quite a bit so decided that was it, strangley enough, I nailed the gybe and came out planning in the lumpy goodness. If you picked the start @ 1515 and board change @1550 then you'd be right
Rob (6992km): A fun afternoon at Coodanup with The Shroom. 6.8 Switchblade. Fangy speed 21. |
