Coodanup, WA, Went to take a look at Coods and saw Ricey out there on his own so decided to keep him company. Spent most of the time fumbling about whilst Ricey was going really well! 👏🏼👏🏼😀

Powered up foil @ Rocko.

15K when I was rigging, so I rigged the Patrik 91 + 8.6 M2 + 900 wing.

Got on the water at 4:30 and the breeze had filled in to 18-20K, so I was lit Smile

Contemplated going in to change down, cos I could easily have been on the 7.0, but didn't want to waste 30 minutes of good wind, and I figured it would fade late arvo (which it did a bit).

Once I got the power dialed it was OK and I had a really fun sesh.

Dropped a few gybes, so the hour wasn't too flash, but I was pretty much flying the whole time.

And nice to be back on the Patrik, after I got it back from being repaired after delaminating up in Ledge. Cool

Coodanup, WA, AU

Took a risk driving to Coods for a light wind forecast, and it was even lighter, but lovely and flat and cruisy, so went for distance and pleased with the result. Not a PB but a top distance in the 80-100 group.

A big thank you to Gloria who joined me and gave encouragement. It really helps not sailing alone, which I was for the first hour or so.

Rocket 125, 7.5 Turbo, 22 delta.

Thanks everyone.

Initially wind was very light with on/off planing, but then it picked up a couple of knots which was just right for the big sail and board.

Super easy sailing, managed to get the sail and board in harmony, and sailed one hand for significant periods so I could rest the other.

Time to enjoy the wild life: three pelicans flying low, kestral with prey in its talons, medium sized sting ray and several other commotions in the water that I could not place.

Sailed until dusk, dropping wind and orange sunset.

In all a very positive experience, enhanced by the steadfast company of Gloria who did not want me sailing alone.
