Pelican Point - Been a while since sailed in easterlies and they can be challenging on the river when the wind strength varies so much. One stage I was becalmed in the middle of the river and had to paddle my gear over to Melville, then 30 minutes later I'm trying to hang on! Lessons I learnt were 1) set up my gear and wait for the wind to come to me and 2) don't be tempted to have too long a session or I could get stuck when the wind suddenly drops or if on a big sail get blown out of the water! Despite this, was great to get out. Also got to see heaps of Mullet jumping out of the water on Melville Beach and saw a guy reeling some decent sized ones in from shore. Hopefully that doesn't indicate Bull Shark activity in the area! (Mostly) AV68/SV Turbo 7.0/Powermax33

Easterlies on the river are usually more hard work than good fun
