Hi honey, Im back.....Hit the Isle of Green with Fast Ed and B2. A stunning FNQ post winter's day - breeze a bit patchy to begin with. And changed direction almost as soon as we hit the water, which was a pain in the rear end. Was SSE, then turned ESE so no fun on the eastern speed strip today. It was all paddock sailing, and using every single square acre today. Was trying for a NM early, but struggled with my 22 Tribal delta in the rougher waters as the tide neared its peak. Real shame. I thought i had control, then i didnt, sometimes i could pull the board back underneath me, other times it was wipe out.
Had some ripper runs with Ed, across the flats, B2 chimed in with some ripper sailing on his speed gear - go fast sails. Jeez, they just looked awesome out on the water - and jeez he's becoming quite the sailor these past 12 months.
Certainly wasnt a "fat and comfortable" day today, but every bit of enjoyment was taken.
Used: CA72(108), OD M1 7.0, 22 Tribal Delta - should have used the 31SW ....oh well. ya get that.

461 days ago Green Island, QLD, AU Fun day's sailing in Far North QLD Tropical Paradise with B1, Ed & the European bikini girls kicking soccer balls on the beach.
Breeze was a bit lighter than I expected today with lots of East creeping in early so no chance to use the speed run. We made good use of the top paddock instead before the water depth got too shallow.
Spent the last half hour or so out the front with shorter runs practicing gybes before catching the early boat home.
The tourists on the ferry were chuffed to see a humpback whale in action.
Nice way to spend a Sunday with great company!
Used the ol' Exocet Turbo 100lt 67W along with the Severne 7m M5 & Tribal 31SW.

461 days ago Green Island, QLD, AU..Yeah had a GI session with the fast kids Billy and Benny..Wasn't sure what the wind was gunna do when we got there..Was going to rig 6.5m but Billy told me to' man up' and rig a 7m..So hit the water on 105 Fox 7m rig cranked down hard 38cm free ride fin..Had a good blast on the flatter water for2hrs which was great fun.Wind was a bit up and down but wasn't a real problem on the Fox..Had some fun drags with Billy which was cool,Did a nautical mile run a bit off the wind with him which is something i don't usually do, so good doing that over there.. Benny was out clocking up some serious km's and i couldn't catch him on his speed gear..As soon as the water started to drop i was off the drag strip And spent the last hr chop hopping out the front..Fox made easy work out of it but still took some big hits...Didn't spend much time in the water which i guess is a good thing, but dropped two gybes and got one spin out while chop hopping but managed to lock back in with out getting wet.Was feeling a bit shagged after 3hrs of solid blasting so was happy to catch the 230 boat home with the boys..Was a great day out and was good to have a blast with Billy and Benny...All good fun cheers Ed..
