458 days ago Port Douglas, QLD, AU..Day of the FOX..Got down the beach for happy hr..Rick was keen to road test his new 105 Fox,wind look ok when we got there and we saw Mark as had just come in from a big session in a solid breeze..Was good to have a nice chat with him and he is a very good sailor..But by the time we hit the water the wind had dropped off and it wasn't looking good for a late arvo blast.. Managed to find a bit wind out wide and got a few runs in but nothing real exciting.. Our' wing man' Andrew showed up on his 140 Fox with a 6.5m go fast sail on it, and it was game on .. Wind came in hard, Andrew was flying.. i spent a bit of time helping Rick get dialed in on his new Fox..And he was off going hard, I Was surprised how well he went on it.. I had a hard time catching him even in a very choppy sea.Rick was' totally impressed' with his new Fox and he said he could see why we like to sail them in the Port douglas chop..I ended up having a full on blast on my trusty 105 Fox and it never put a foot wrong even when over powered with big fin and a bit to much sail up.. Was hard to find a bit of flat water to do a gybe in when the wind came in hard but managed to get almost all of them..I ran out of fue just on sundown so it was game over..Guess it was worth rigging up for.. Was good to see 3 Foxes on the water..all good fun.. cheers Ed..

Rigged for lightish winds but it was actually quite strong offshore and built a little during the session. Did some exploring upwind, but the water is just as rough and unpredictable up there. Met Ed and Rick on the beach when I came in for a break. But I was cooked so sailed home in a dying breeze before I got a chance to do any runs with them. Grea sail today though.
