Tibor (18017km): Marmong Point, NSW, AU One more warm wind and warm water day but this time with more wind. I would have gone home had it not been for Ákos encouraging me to stay. Anyway, we did a whole lot of jibing and may have gotten a bit better. Crossing my fingers for tomorrow. | ||||||||||||||||||

sboardcrazy (25098km): 15-22kts NE Peely Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU level 0.28 6.5m turbo- RS2 ( 90ltres) - 22cms Atomic Nuclear weed 1st go I wanted another gybe refresher and to test out my Atomic fin which was great. It got me upwind well , cut through the weed , didn't spinout in the choppier bits and should be faster than the thick fangy once I get my act together. The stats are pretty average, but they are post injury Pbs for hr , alpha , distance and nm. I'm disapointed in the 2 sec. I got one run where I was superpowered up in the flats with my back leg aching from holding it. I thought that's got to be a 33 / 34kt run..30.7??? Even the garmin gave it 31.7. Think I'll have to start following the others and getting some tips. The gybes are improving. I got 2 good planing ones and quite a few ok planing ones above mid 19s but I still feel like a gumby. Think I need to concentrate on the arc. At times , I'm getting the rig a bit too far forward on the exit which could be deadly in less forgiving LM chop. It's the first time I've noticed the lack of stability in the turbos. I usually use them less powered in chop. I forgot to pull it back on pre gybe so it was bagged out in overpowering conditions and it was throwing me around everywhere. The 6.2m OD probably would have been better but a bit underpowered at times. I've been avoiding using the iso 80 as it bounces around in the chop and wears me out . I'm fitter now so I'll have to start using it again. I'm looking forward to getting my RS1 which should be more pensioner suited.. First time in a rashie and the water is like a hot bath! Still it was 27 degrees at Peely and 39 at home..
