Liptons seabreeze around 12/18ts with some gusts to 20kts. Managed to find a rock in Liptons bay where none were supposed to exist.  Ruined one of my face Pepefoil fins, which Dece=rep has kindly offered to modify, will go from 23cm to about an 18cm.  Was lotsa fun up till then.  Simmer Slalom 62/96 Simmer 6.3 Pepefoil 23/48

Up and down sail at Liptons.

went with the 55cm board, 6.2  koncept and 23@40/60. This fin has a fairly sharp leading edge and doesn't like to go upwind underpowered. To make matters worse, the drag through the shallows, raked the fin back in the box, loosening the rear bolt. This started sucking air down on to the fin, and it was a stuggle not to keep spinning out.

So more time in the workshop needed, a well shaped fin head shouldn't be able to rotate,

So the ends need to be convex rather than concave,

Hardie managed to severly mofify his fin on the only Liptons rock we are aware of., so I volunteered to shorten it for him.

Sammy bottowed Waricles boom mout GPS, to practice alphas, so i also had a go to keep him company.. No too bad for an old bloke, he only beat me by one and a half knots

Peel Inlet, WA, AU

Liptons with Mike, Joe, Rob and Richo. I was very optimistic and was going to rig 5.8, then I saw Mike setting the 6.2 so I rigged up the old 6.2 which never used. End up been a wise choice in the middle, nothing would have worked with such gusty wind!!

Very happy the 6.2 which works on Herby, good to know, will do again. Thank you Waricle for letting me borrow your little toy, love it and hopefully will help to improve some of my sailing Tongue outCool.

I just realised that the guy I was talking on the beach is Rob which I never met before, hi Rob, nice to meet you Wink

Herby, RSR6.2, Sammy 21/50
