Wind ranged from light, hard to get planning to strong and overpowered on the 7.8. Fun day and good to see a few people out.

Started super under powered but then it changed and was super overpowered, needed to be on a 7.0 or 6.3 with my 97 litre, but was tired and had to go, great fun after a neck injury, so pretty stoked still.

596 days ago Stansbury. This place was forecast to explode today. My day started when I got woken up by a gust whacking my bedroom window like a magpie flying into it, and stewning my gardening tools and watering can all over the pergola floor. So, as you can imagine, I got really excited thinking of small gear. A pre-sail meeting with Hoppy and Tricky took place, and I copied their concept of going out on the biggest sail I had. But, my big delta fin would not fit in my board, and I knew the next fin size down (which did fit in board) caused spin out problems with biggest sail. So, ended up rigging KARace 5.5, Patrick 92 and MUF 20. I concur with Hoppy; wind did not get over 20 kts. Wind was holely, but the wind angle was pretty novel, although wind changed direction a few times (so did my tack directions). The session theme was 1 hrs, but due to my gear, I just sailed where it was windy. My alpha is PB at this spot. Thanks for the beers Tricky. Thanks for the trash talk Hoppy . Well done Tricky for beating Hoppy. We thought it was the other way around. Well done for getting the hr for the team.
