Sunshine, NSW, AU Duotone 169, duotone 6.8 fin, f4 620 First go on the new board and I love it. Only 6 to 12knots not foiling most of the time so pretty good speed for what it was. Had mast angle at 3 deg and 8 to 10 sail pumps to get it out of the water too much work. Will try again with more windbut think 2.5 will be much better.

5-14kts patches of 15-18kts W- WSW messy crosschop 60cm moguls Coal Point, NSW, AU

 7.5m - WT64 ( 112ltres) - 35cms tectonics

then 125ltre tabou Bullit - 38cms tectonics weedy

Well I almost admitted Coal in a W is too much for this old girl today..Frown

Really needed the wavebord or 90 ltre to deal with the chop. The 112 was miles too big. Even with full tailflex I  spent my time hanging off the boom over the water to reduce the bumps. I couldn't put the power down due to the mess. It was exhausting..I was tired, but coping, and decided to go in for a rest.

I was putting my foot in the rear strap when a gust ripped the sail from my hands. I flew off sideways and the board kept sailing for 100m. Once the sail fell in it was still catching the wind and disappearing down the chop.

I swam like crazy for 100m but gave up as I couldn't catch it. Luckily Andrew was around and went and sat and held onto it. Even then I hardly had the energy to swim the last 50m.

I headed in for a rest. Felt like the heart had been overworked and I felt pretty RS.

I've got an alarm button you can set to ring the rescue mob . i've had it for years and never used it. i think i'll set it up so if I'm by myself I can at least ring for help.

It died a little. I was going to whimp out but figured I better get back onto the horse. It was a bit easier as the chop had settled down and was only 30cms and a bit more regular so I could sail a bit more normally.

It was dying more so I got the big board. I was a bit underpowered but by now it was reasonably flat , easy sailing and much nicer.

There was this monster catamaran doing circuits. It was like a block of flats and everytime it went past I had to unhook and get ready for the massive windshadow. The 2nd time I was unhooked and Andrew went foiling past between me and the cat. I thought this will be fun..Laughing Sure enough he was hit by the lack of wind and looked like he was going in. I was chortling away loudly..he managed to save it and kept sailing but then it hit me and with a loud @##!! in I went grr. Yell

It must have been amusing for the people on the cat.

Did one really nice subplaning gybe. Usually I flip and then wait for a few seconds to get myself together and get the sail back on. This one was a really nice quick flip and power back on .Cool

I'm old..zzz

 At least it was sunny.

Marmong Point, NSW, AU

JP Foil 155 Flow 1500 Severne R3 8.6.

Not a good combo. Either the foil, board sail or driver were wrong.

I blame the sail. Its got 1 more chance then its toast.

Mistral Devil, Neil Pryde 7.2m H2, Axis ART 1099.

Good session today with the gang. Plenty of wind shifts. Under powered with the 7.2 while everyone went 8's and 9's. Still managed some fly time and PB's in 7-10 knots.
