Marmong Point, NSW, AU

Mistral Devil, Sailworks Revolution Pro II 5.3m, Axis 1099.

Rigged for worst case scenario and got it.

Light to start with and came in to ideal strength for 5.2m sail. Then had 25 minutes of 20+ knots with bigger waves than usual.

Found the waves to be problematic downwind resulting in half a dozen nose ploughs.

Wind died a bit and had a few good runs until I sailed into glassy water and then the wind was gone, almost instantly.

Drifted back in and packed up. Wind picked up again when everything was packed away as it always does.

Very testing for my skill level but another good use of a roster day.

Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU. Up and down wind. First i was on the f-race 120 - 6.5 Ezzy - pepe 23. Out alone i was a bit sketched out not ever seen weed bergs before and unsure what they'd do sailing into them. Also, the bottom, it's deep right now, but still shallow enough to command some respect when you dont know it atall.
Good to see some of the Budgi crew again. When Mike and Bruce came outi got some confidence in the flats, now on 99ltr starboard carve, but by then my feet were frozen so i called it quits.
Good to get a bit of board chatter.
Old Pete the convincing salesman saw me heading home with a formula board in the back. Gonna be great racing my brother at Jimmy's on that this summer.

Maree it was howling at Hawks Nest, not so much at Budgi.
Was thinking of Mark and wanted to send it for him, hope all is ok.

Trust Pete to have something to sell!

Sounds like an OK introduction.  Neoprene hood might help the feet? I always wear booties.

I can’t wait till the event up there goes ahead, we have so many unreal places to sail together.
