10-24kts W- WNW level 0.17m Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU

 5.5m Mach4 - RS2 ( 90ltres) - 22 cms Atomic  ( 2 sec)

 RS1 ( 80ltres)-1st decent use- 16.5cms FF

Well that was fun! 1st real 'speedsail' since I broke my wrist.

Too choppy for good speeds but I'm happy with the 2 sec as it was out in the 30cms rollers . Not a bad speed for me in those condiitions.

A buzz going for it not knowing if the Atomic would hold in the chop ( it did).

I usually hate the Machs but I enjoyed it today. Maybe the wind was a bit better and I bagged it out in the lulls.

It kicked in so I came in for the 80ltre and my old faithful FF which I trust in that sort of chop. An unknown combo but the RS1 has a narrow tail so I expected it to be good.

A great combo. that will be my go to in 'choppier' conditions. I used to avoiding using the iso 80 and just jump to the 70ltre.

I usually hate those conditions as the iso80 has a fat tail and bounces me around but the RS1 is great!

I didn't try any gybes as I was a bit powered up.

It was a bit patchy for the 80 but it was great in the strong stuff in the chop. I saw Mike do a run in the flatter stuff and aimed to have a go but I didn't get any strong stuff so I went in.

I decided to go across into the big chop to get a good angle for the run in. Now I remember why I don't do that. Undecided

I dropped in to turn the board but the race sail filled up with water and was hard to get started . My arms were like sphagetti by now so I coudln't hang on and lost the gear.. I swam like crazy to get it and then decided to just float in..Undecided

Sailing fitness and arms leave a lot to be desired.

I do love the adrenaline ..Tongue out still buzzing.

 Lots out.

Pugs and Mick H out with me then everyone came out as I went in.

Teralba, NSW, AU. The fun westerly’s are back! Took the rocket out for a spin today. Overpowered at times with a 6.0 to the point I had to sheet out and wait for the bullets to pass! Super fun though, I need a better fin though. Anyone got a 32cm power box slalom / speed fin they wanna part with?
