Marmong Point, NSW, AU SE 8-12 gusts and pretty good. Not a bad turnout . W150 926 ezzy 5.8

8th Wing attempt - Marmong very patchy 5-12kts S-SE a few late gusts 13kts maybe

5m Matador - 130ltre Fone - 1800 front wing which is looking a bit sad now I have run it aground a lot..Embarassed

I think I'll start going out in more wind until I know what I'm doing. The gusts were ok but as soon as a lull came I'd drift sideways. I eventually worked out if I put the wing in the water and push the leeward edge down it slows the drift.

My main aim was to stand and keep upwind which was ok in the gusts but there were too many lulls. Usual thing , I went out too early and was buggered by the time a few good gusts came in. Undecided

 I feel I've improved,

So long as there was wind I could stand up and I did longer runs .

I'm in no hurry to foil. I feel I need more wing control practise first but I copped a decent patch on the last run and went with it .

I think I came up a few inches and it felt controlled. It wasn't long but I looked down and I seemed to be above the water and everything felt different.

I'm still getting the wing too far forward as i bear off and I'm practically running over it so I'll have to work on that. I got carried away and went downwind too far but it was ok.

I want learn to foil by coming up a few inches , hopefully touching down , coming down etc so It's not too radical. Today was the 1st time I could check where Iwas standing and pay attention to stance etc.

Nice to have an onshore wind so I drifted ashore.

 Max speed 6.5kts

distance - 4.76 kms

 Plenty out.

Mungo Brush, NSW, AU. 2 sessions today, 9-10am then 3-4pm. Same gear - same conditions.
Just powered enough and nicely on f-race 120ltr with Ezzy Cheetah 8.5, 44cm.
Then i tried SLW 165ltr and it was too much.

I've never tried the 8.5 on the 120ltr before. It felt fine. It felt smaller on the f-race than it did on the SLW.

All day wind. New normal cool South winds are a blessing and a curse.
Two weeks ago i was upset about the forecast not being as expected spring stuff, now i'm stoked it wasn't as i sailed new spots and different styles on warm days with cool onshore and cross shore winds.

Marmong Point, NSW, AU

FFF200, 6.5m Sailworks Retro, Axis 799 & 1099.

S-SE 5-12 knots.

Second time out on the Red Sled. Plenty of rookie errors today. Rigged for more wind which didn't come in. Lots of holes in the gusts.

Only a few flights in the first hour so came in and swapped to a bigger front wing. Better runs in the second hour.

Couple of good runs with Paul. Good to see Big Tom in the air.
