RS1 ( 80ltres) - 20cms Atomic
Fantastic fun! Nothing like some decent wind for once! No real Budgy flats 5-6" rollers but flat after Lake Macqaurie.
I have been getting bad habits gybing the WT's in chop so I felt I needed a gybe refresher.
Only 4hrs sleep and absolutley wrecked before I started. Dozed for 45 mins and then kept going on adrenaline and chocolate..
Boy slalomboards in flatter water are easy to gybe! Best session since LG.
Surprised myself by getting all but 1 gybe and was pretty maxed in entering at times. Not as good as my best but very happy. A lot of planing ones and the best was maxed in , around and out.
I usually find Willy weather to be pretty accurate to rig with . It was saying 16-17kts so I started to rig the 7.2m.
I'm glad I listened to Mike and rigged smaller. I was very powered with that and by the end would have been maxed on the 6.2m
As soon as I got there out I realised I should have been on the 80ltre but I stuck with it for an hr before going in to get the 80.
I didn't have the energy to rerig the 6.2m so I just added more outhaul and luffed it upwind.
Very happy. I'll sleep well tonight!
Just Mike and I then Bruce later.
