Shell Beach. Wasn't going to sail here again today but thought what the hell, guaranteed windy there. Working out the lay of the land now and finding the troughs in the swell to ride in as there's no flat water in the left bay once the wind picks up. Easily 5 knots stronger here than Denham. Tried a 19cm Delta fin to be able to run a bit further in the shallows but spun out going upwind or downwind! Obviously can't handle reasonable fin pressure. Put the 25cm Symspeed I ran yesterday back on and was like chalk and cheese. Only used this fin a few times but I like how you can load it up upwind and goes downwind OK and flies through chop as good as a Weedspeed and seems to match up well with the Radix 98 which just eats up the chop. Used the Turbo 5.5 which was perfect for the conditions. Phew, this aint going to be a relaxing holiday, but that was the aim! Hopefully some Pinnaroos can back me up here as it will be windy here every day till Wednesday.
