24 days ago Christchurch Estuary, NZ ..Really nice conditions at first and some exciting sailing. ..2 sec was railed and arcing through 120-130 degrees off the breeze whilst going into a gybe which I managed to pull off - My highest ever entry speed to a gybe! ..I'm definitely quicker on the rail than I am on the flat of the board - Have seen it many many times now in my GPS results. ..My top speed on the flat of the board appears to be somewhere around 28 knots
Carbon Art 82, ..plus two sails and two fins, Point-7 5.8 & KA5.2, and Flikka 22 & Tribal 16
..Stopped my GPS's whilst rigging the second sail, so was a bit of a mission adding up the numbers.
..Mile and Alpha were with the Point-7 5.8 (2 cam) & Flikka 22.
..2 Sec and quickest 4 10 sec's were with KA 5.2 (4 cam) and the Flikka 22
Eventually though I started finding it more and more difficult to get going in the weed with the Flikka 22 and even so in thigh deep water - The weed certainly seems stickier and more resilient than ever this year. ..Swapped in my Tribal 16 and even that was proving to be hard work to start in the weed towards the end of the session.
