That was just nice. Not nearly as good as what they have forcast but Barry Àkos and l got going a bit anyway.

12th winging attempt

5 - 12kts ENE then a few patches of 12 - 14kts. 

130ltre Fone - 5m Matador- 1800 front wing

6.2kts maxb - 3.6 distance. 

After the last 2 attempts I was ready to give it away..I went out early to beat the storms.No foiling today, but a good confidence boost. I  generally felt in charge today.

Flatwater certainly helps..

It was a bit more E which helped.  I  managed to stand up  and sail through the windshadow of the 16fters. I got upwind well and even managed a standing wobbly turn. It makes a difference doing longer runs and not falling in every 50m .

I've bought an air pump for the wing and used it for the 1st time. I  wasnt sure how to set it and erred on the cautious side when inflating. 

I've learnt underinflated wings don't work very well. 

When I tried to flip it over it was so underdone it folded over on itself. I had to go in and pump it up more. 

The last run there were some decent gusts but the storm was close so I quit while I was ahead. 

A nice way to avoid the heat.

Pretty cool to cruise out and discover the weed bank. I've never sailed in weed like that. Very happy to turn up and see that there were two sailors there. Dean from Newy and Gabe. I had to head out to the weed bank on my own as Gabe was done when i got there. A few very slow semi planing runs through it sussing it out then getting gamer to hook in and go a bit. Hard to know where i was, hesitant to give it until i figure the place out a bit.
