Fangies enjoyable sail except for my speeds, I was going for it, giving it all I had, desperatly wanting to get into the 33/34kt range, but couldnt manage it.  A case when having the GPS spoils a good windsurfing session.  Simmer Slalom 96L/62W TR18 5.9m Pepefoil 21/48

Rigged ( this ones for Barry) a Manly 5.8m sail and was under done most of the time, was great to see the birthday boy on the water and get a try of the new shiny board Mike had just made, felt very sweet indeed Cool

Nice to celabrate with you and everyone else  Mike, you are a Legend Cool

An early session with Gloria at Coodanup. My mini motion ran out of juice so l packed up and went to Avalon on the wave gear.

Fangyland with a cast of thousands celebrating Decrepit's Official Old Fart status.

i wanted to try out the fattest fin I have made in the FF23 proto series. This one was a 15% chord thickness. The fin was extremely friendly and very difficult to spin out. I could get away with all sorts of bad manoeuvres and the fin would reattach with no fuss. On the flipside, the drag was very noticeable, and the uphill ability wasn't anything that would justify the drag.

As for the sailing, I chucked in at The Hook which I had to myself.  For a change, I released the Inner Elmo and went for runs across to Yunderup to harvest some lumpy goodness and go for some sphincter clenching runs down the chop lines. I think I surprised myself at how enjoyable the arvo turned out. Or perhaps that was the birthday cake - thank you, Dorothy.Laughing

trying new version of speedreader, working fine so far.

Bugger, trying out speed reader has wiped my original post. I should have copied it first, so I could paste back in.

But the essence of it was.

I had a very pleasant Birthday sail.

bigger deeper fin than I've used befor, a 25cm@40/60. and the 6.2 koncept, went well on the new 60cm board.

Nice to be on a fin with lift, but could only do it because water was high with no weed. which of course meant much more chop than I like.

Happy birthday Decrepit!

Hardie I know that feeling of trying to beat the gps. I've been having lots of fun in the chop because I know I'm not going to be able to get any decent speeds.

Back in flatter stuff and I'm starting to get too focused on the gps and it's wrecking it.

Time to get back into the chop..Tongue out
