Disappointing. I'd been looking forward to the S at Valentine for a week.
It was gusting 20-25kts when I arrived so rigged the 5m. Not as much as it looked and it died a bit. Too much W in it and 200m lulls 5kts then patches of 18-23kts with messy peaky chop.
Thought about rigging the 5.7m but I was worried it would kick in again.
The small board was ok in the gusts but a balancing act in the lulls and gybing in 5kts in the slop. Float and fang.. 
The big board still bobbing in the lulls but too big in the gusts and chop.
Budgy has spoiled me - consistent wind, flat water , planing gybes.. Worst session for gybes in ages although I went easy on myself as it was dodgy conditions.
Interesting dodging ramps when powered up. It felt like the board got close to 90% to the water once. Chuffed that I kept control but I wouldn't want to do that very often..too risky..
Good exercise value.
Waited around to see if it improved and thought about rigging bigger but it was cold, wet and too patchy so I called it a day.
