Elmo (32044km): Patrik 100, NP RSR Evo XV 6.5m, Nemesis 30cm. Whinging and bitchen that I couldn't get my trailer out and having to load one board and two sails into car and hoping that I'd chosen correctly. Turns out that I had a double win, chose the right gear and thank fark that I didn't have the trailer as it was bogan city down at Novara, somehow managed some pretty dodgy parking and was happy for it. Spent a fair chunk of the session working my way up wind to send a naughty, eventualy got high enough and got it underway... eventually, some holes were about got about 3/4's down and bailed the run as it was too hairy with vee shapped chop, closer look at it saw we had it coming in from the SE and the SW making it very peaky and unpredictable. Did a few runs down towards the chanel marker got the 30 5x up and decided to flag iit as Ward Point had suddenly started combusting in a rather vigerous manner, better to go in than aggravate the lungs with the smoke. Good show put on by the firies, two helicopter water bombers and two aeroplane water bombers, helicopters were good, the planes were two fiths of useles as once they droped their load they had to bugger off back to base to reload, the helicopters just kept draining the Indian Ocean and dumping it on Pleasant grove salt marshes. Good fun session.

Decrepit (55250km): So a 29 day today, speed and distance. You can see how choppy it was from my speed graph. TOW today and some exercise with lots of friendly faces. Waricle said he counted 15 on the water at one stage. I think everybody had fun, didn't hear any complaints anyway. Went with the same rig that worked well last time. 60cm board Koncept 6.3 and 26@40/60 weedy. Possibly could have used the 48 5.8 and 23 at the end, but there's no way at the start.
fangy (22898km): Well that was a Top Ten Fangy Day helped by a deluxe serving of escargot. I had just taken off from the top end when I spied Herbie 53 gybing in front of me. For me, opportunities to shut the door on Sammy come once in a lifetime, so the decision to sail below and be a decent fella, or blast past his nose like a tosser took a millisecond. I did misjudge how quickly Sammy would get his arse in to gear, so when he popped out of my blind spot he was a tad closer than I would have liked, but I was committed to showing him the door and the church that went with it. The look on Le Escargot as I went past was what I imagine the pilot of a Cessna gets when on approach gets overflown by an A380. A split second later I think he was encouraging me to go faster by yelling “weigh anchor”, but with that accent and the wind who knows. Anyhoo, I knew retribution would be served as soon as he got his tiara back on, so I bailed out and ran away uphill as fast as I could. Sure enough he came barrelling past, but the damage was done, and he had the look of a man who knew he had been overtaken by windsurfing’s version of Uluru. I of course, pretended it was all like a day at the office, except I promptly headed into shore and packed up. You just can’t beat a day like that.
Firiebob (18118km): Fangys, WA, AU A really enjoyable blast, I struggled a bit with my girly wingfoil arms so I pulled the pin early just as the wind was building up It was a beaut Aussie Day catching up with team members and some faces not see for long while, beer after toped it off CA SL87L, 27 TWS, 6.6 Koncept and boardies.
Bully boy fat Basil (5029km): Coodanup, WA, AU plenty of water. plentyof company
