Coal Point, NSW, AU 4.7 Taka 1250 Flow. Great session in stronger wind than I expected. Sensational in Rathies bay, probably the best it's been all summer.

Lake George, SA, AU. patrik f-race 120, Loft rb 5.6, 23 pepe. I was asked if i'd be Guinea. Yes, i obliged. Heading out not knowing what to expect, a bit on edge hearing stories of evil sounding nor westers, at this point in my career, after experiencing lovley (slighlty mind blowing) conditions, and being aware that the bath tub was rapidly draining, still out there alone waiting for other condenders to come out, the slightest awkward gusts were felt as the wind came more west and i high tailed it outta there.

Coal Point, NSW, AU  Super fun foil in a perfect NE.  Worked up to Belmont bay with Andy and Nic who is doing really well on the wing . Then a quick trip to Marmong .

Shingles splitters NSW, AU Duotone 5.4 foil, f4 560, falcon foil What a top spot to sail . Finally felt it was time to pull the trigger but only did it twice and both times over 30. The gear has more in it than I do. Stoked with the 2 second.

15 - 25kts + WNW The Spit Lake George, SA, AU

5.5m Mach2- RS2 ( 90ltre) - 22cms Atomic - A 4.5m or 5m on the 80 would have been better, Undecided

A lot of effort for not much reward.

Now I know why I don't sail W at LG.Undecided

I should have relied on Predictwind. Most forecasts were saying it would only get to 16- 17kts. PW said gusting to 25kts..Yell

Got there early and hung around hoping for it to come in and settle ( huh).

Dave went out early and looked like he had a magic session. The whole bay was glassy.

I got out here and it had really kicked in. I bashed my elbow on the gear on the 1st gybe which really hurt. I was luffing the sail in the evil gusts,  I only did a few gybes as I was worried about copping a gust mid gybe.

I expected to get lifted on the bearaways..I changed to the lower clewhole but I decided I wasn't enjoying it , it wasn't worth the risk and I called it.

Pity as the water conditions were unreal..Tongue out

Oh well I lived to sail another day. Looking forward to easier S conditions next week.

JP HydroFoil 155 Flow 900 Sailworks 7.1

Nice day on the water with plenty of friends. 7 was a bit big in the gusts but toughed it out for a nice distance.

Slowly woring out how to go to windward, made it to the top of the bay for the first time.

Hopefully more tomorrow.

I thought you'd get a good alpha Dave. You looked to be really enjoying the conditions.

Great speed on the wing Nic!

Terrific speed on the foil Byron.

Save some of those lovely NE's for when I get back will you?

Thanks Marina.I got out of it easy, when i was walking in, a dust cloud started as Sue walked out.
Cheers Fitzy and Sue.
Chopper yes, having a ball. You had a good session too. It's nice to get some higher numbers and progress, but i just love this lake.
After everyone had left, i walked out the end of the flats at the spit. Calm sunny and hot after the blow earlier. Then i saw a dust cloud rise and approach  from the west. It took it's time getting to me. At first i underestimated it, but as it drew closer it increased in it's command for respect, next minute, no visibility, the whole place filled with dust, i thought about going to the ground to hang on but thought i might get taken out by a tree if one gets dislodged upwind, so i battled on in the direction i believed the car to be. Found it, thankfully boards and booms still strapped to roof. Outta there. ooof, powerful place.
This made me think about Byrons 48 here and people sailing big gusts like that, totally wild.

Not sure how tomorrow is going to look as said gust appears to have pushed the water out of sight Surprised
