1 day ago 5 - 15kts WNW-W - Sw Peely Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU level 0.31m
7.5m Turbo - Rs4 ( 111ltres) - 21.5cms FF ( meant to put the 24cm in . )
Still it worked and only slid out once.
I really enjoyed that . Much nicer than yesterday. Am shift.
I didn't expect to get going so I was pleasantly surprised to plane in the gusts. Enjoyed the lightwind practice and gybe practise.
Some big weed clumps in the deeper water. The fat foiled fin was snagging on them so I tried to avoid them.
Stayed out in the 'chop' mostly as that's where the wind was.
It came in and turned more SW when I decided to come in. It headed me and I really needed to do another tack but it was too strong to risk ( I was tired) so I walked in.
Missed the strong stuff..
Dave and I. Mike and Bruce took the afternoon shift when it had kicked in.

1 day ago Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU. Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU. Relaxo maxo sailing on the speed flats. Patrik 120ltr, KA 7.5, 23 Pepe. For a brief moment, I almost got the kit right. Icy wind and water, somehow not a problem atall though as I managed to not fall in, rigged and re-rigged a many times and fried my mind while trying to figure it all out as the beast wind came and went over two days. Up, down, up, down.. I feel partly redeemed after not sailing yesterday. But I was barely powered most of the time and Sue was smoking me getting going in the light wind. I think it was her fangy power. I don't know, i sometimes do the light wind smoking but not today. I was praying to Huey for a gust to get powered, yep then she swung SW, the flat water that I was on disappeared in the change of angle, I didn't know quite where I was in the glare, a little weary with the 23 fin, but gave it a bit of a squirt in the new SW juice then decided I'm going home for a holiday now. It was an exciting little squirt but mostly i think winter sailing is hectic! Think I'll take up surfing until spring.
