Continuous rain throughout the session. Wind sometimes strong and sometimes non existent and always changing direction.

A tricky run back home.

0 - 25kts ENE - W Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU- level 0.4m

13 degrees with rain at times.

 5.5m Mach - RS1 (80ltres) - 20cms Atomic

 Rs2 ( 90ltres) - 22 cms Atomic

I didn't think it could get any worse than my last plod but it can. Undecided

My expectations were too high.. A strong ENE ! Tongue out

 Ugh..

Mike and Bruce went out a bit before me and seemed to get some good NE for a few runs before it dropped. It seemed to head me and I had what felt like a work up to the flats. One second maxed out overpwoered the next sinking from lack of wind. Very tiring.

 Heavy rain at times.

That board is definitely a full sinker for me these days.Undecided

5 - 8kts by the time I got up there . 20kts 2 sec on the way up..

We all ended up walking back in most of the way.

I was going to go back out with the big board and a 6.5m but it kicked back in so I put the 90 on. Same deal to get back out and then I got one ok run and it died.

I was having trouble trying to start. It was too light to waterstart and dodgy for beachstarting in thigh to waist deep water.

My right leg is playing up and it was too painful to lift it to get onto the board.. I sat there for a while hoping for a gust but it died and swung W.

Long walk back in. Boy those weedbergs are thick and hardwork to slog through.. I had to stop every now and then and clear a bucketload of weed off the boom to make the gear lighter.

There was a torrent of water flowing through 7th av launch by now. At least that made it good for washing gear.

I had parked with one wheel in soft stuff and was a worried about whether I'd be able to get out.

I turned it on and gradually put the power on. Lots of noise and dashlights..'LET YOUR PARKING BRAKE OFF! " Dur..Embarassed I was so concerned about getting bogged I hadn't paid enough attention. ( and no I've never done that before).

Anyway there was mud spatter all up the side of the car and window. I looked like one of those 4wd drive people who'd been out searching  for mud to play in..

I'll blame it on exhaustion as the session was a big workout .Wink

Nasty Sue. I had one wheel up over that drain once with my boards under the car about to go and camp at Primbee and the boards in bags all floated out the back. It coms through there.
