Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU. CA92ltr, Ezzy Lion 6.5 / Loft RB 5.6, 18 ff
Super. Felt like speed sailing giving it a downwind run on some gusts, yeeha. Zero problems today, kit powered most the time except in the very beginning with Old Pete smoking me.
Eventually got going with the 6.5 trucking well. It was handling strong wind but i was amazed still only doing 26kts speed, thinking watch is broken again, it feels much faster than it is. In for lunch, wind picked up, out with the 5.6.
I was getting a bit worried early on as i was dreaming of a day of epic redemption after yesterdays hard day in the office. Happy to see the 3 works on the watch and that i finally have some speedy looking lines happening. There’s no bad day in this office, beautiful budgy. Sweet.

15-25kts W Peely Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU - level 0.38m

5.5m Mach2 - RS1 ( 80ltres) - 16.5cms FF ( cutdown 22cm)

More consistent and stronger than yesterday.

I'm too old for this..UndecidedWink

Wore myself out on the shore.

Got there and Dave was out on the 6.5m - 90 so I got the 90 ready but got a gust of 20kts on the meter ( 10-20kts) sp gpot the 6.2m out..then it went 15-20kts so I rigged the 5.5m

I wanted the small fin on but it's unknown in the 90ltre. I walked out and sailed 200m but I was really maxed out and didn't trust the fin in the chop so came back in and got the 80ltre . I know the fin is rock solid in it..

Back out again and the  Garmin has spat the dummy. Spent some time trying to get it started again out on the water but gave up and came in and fixed it..zzz

 Anyways... finally got going.

Should have had the 5m on really maxed with the 5.5m in the gusts. I changed it to the lower clewhole which helped a little. At the end I thought " it's died a bit ' and put it back on the top one. Huh! Fully over the top on the way back in the chop..

I've been playing with my harness lines. I thought I'd try them closer together like everyone else .. nah.. one minute 15kts then 25kts ..using my arms too much and couldn't get them set up properly.

I usually have them wide and just move back and forth along them as it changes.

Only one gybe as either very overpowered or not enough. It's really tiring stopping and starting at the end of every run.Undecided

Some strong wind and flatwater but it was a lottery getting the strong stuff in flatwater and I didn't manage to score.

Pete (early), Mobsy, Bill , Mike and I

Dave should have some good stats. He was the energiser bunny today and managed to get some nice conditions for gybing.
