Sailquik (30077km): ![]() Area 45 Andersons Inlet, Inverloch. Yet another day of ESE wind! 18-20 with gust in the low 20's but it faded a bit as the session went on. The low tide was a bit too late today. We didnt get on the water untill about 6.30pm and the bank wa not exposed until nearly 7.30pm. Even then the edge was very hard to see going straight into the low sun! In the end I dragged my fin in the mud and came to a pretty sudden stop. No injury, but I decided to call it a day before something worse and came in. Early in the session I managed a half decent Alpha, so very happy with that. I found the 30cm Atomic 'Weapon' fin I had forgatten I had in the shed this morning so I used that. What a weapon!! The IS55W came alive with this fin. Once moving properly it is impossible to spin out, but the really interesting thing is how it tranforms the ride in the chop. The board stays much flatter and more stable. Hardly any bouncing or porposing going upwind! And it just MOTORS upwind! I remembed why I love this fin. At the start I was very nicely powered up on the 5.7m, but, not quite towards the end of the session. Good company from Kempster and Wendles, a couple of freeriders and one very competent flicky/spinny young lady with and Austrian sail number. I think the easterly wind is finshed now for a while! Thank goodness - I need a rest! Isonic 55 Wide, KA Speed 5.7m, Atomic Weapon 30cm slalom fin. Motion GPS
