Geez, that was hectic out on the Swan with 30+ kt gusts coming from the east! Short but heaps of fun with no flat water to be found.

2 days ago Albany, WA, AU. Isonic54/SCR6.3/TD18. Wind came in nicely after lunch, but the high tide and chop took the edge off speeds. Got a couple of 40s and a bunch of 39s. Was still a great day and with the wind having a little north in it you could get up to the top of the NM in one run 😊

so first session was frustrating with wind dropping , under powered and tide coming up quick.
went home and had some lunch and did some homebrew bottleing
saw the beacon at 35kn and went out again. A good session followed.
good bunch out smashing some wicked speeds.

Got there and it was windy so pulled out the 6.2m! Was going to run the 98 but thought it was probably going to drop suddenly so out with the 110 and 35MK3. While I was rigging the wind backed off a lot, but I was rigged, and had a floaty board so went out anyway- at 9:35. Pretty underpowered for the first few runs, but then it started to pick up... and within 10 minutes I was getting powered up! 110/35 started feeling big in the chop and 30kt+ gusts so decided to try smaller fin... on the run in I hit a sick gust and maxed at 39.5 just before the beach- hard to slow down! Put the 32MK3 on and that was more comfy, but still the board was feeling "lively". I stayed on that having a ball until a bit after 11. Was getting a bit dangerous with the chop and some on-edge moments at full send. But the wind looked too good as I was about to derig, so change of plan- out with the 98 and a 27 weespeed for control. Wind started to get gusty again but there were still some strong ones... Wow that was so much fun. Lit on a 6.2/98 combo on the river. Got one sick gust for run of the day on that sending it down towards Pt Walter through knee high rolling chop. Hit another 38 on the other side in a big gust. Was getting close to lunch so decided to call it quits and the wind backed off as I was derigging.
Up there for best sessions of the season. Its not always about the numbers.
