7.2m hellcat, 115l rocket, 38cm mfc. Started early hoping to find a way through the armada of boats on the estuary. Seemed everyone was out for the holiday. Tried out the smaller gear a bit later but too many holes.

Session with the boys at hardies, tried to sail with few guys but the very gusty wind made it too hard!!! (gusty like a easterly)

Optimistic crap session for me, struggled on 5.8 for hours and keep believe it was coming! Better that not sailing I suppose !!

Manta 59, RSS_5.8, Duo 280/45

Hardies Run, WA, AU

isonic 101, 7.8 NP Rs Slalom mkIII, 44cm c3 Venom

Very up and down session at Hardies joined by the usual suspects, wind was only on the western side of the estuary I like most others found out the hard way by going over to claudesville and having to chugg halfway back before there was a puff with enough in it to get me going.

the 7.8 on the iso with the 44 fin was a beautiful combo would go wherever i wanted it to, am now the proud owner of a 8.6m mk III as well after having the 8.4 RS6 for a bit over 24 hours, should be a good sail for the east coast conditions I am going to have to live with for the next few months

JP Slalom VI 68cm, NP RS4 8.6m, MFC L-Pro 40cm.

Wind looked good so rigged the smaller kit, sailed across to Claudesville all good til I was going along saw a Algea patch which I then went and bullseyed and created a rather spectaucular Elmo sized dent in the water, resurfaced checked the kit no damage Woo hoo,Cool removed the football sized clump of snot from my fin and back on my way.

Claudesville was looking poo hot miles and miles of massive 3"chop oh woo is me this will be fun to play inCoolCool, went back a ways so I could get into a bit deeper water, turned around started heading back to the flats when the wind backs of, hmmmm 1km or so of chugging I eventually get enough wind to get on the plane again and gybe, got going from the gybe and planed kinda back to the platform where there wa the hole from hell, chugged for the next 3km till I got to the chanel where i was able to get onto the plane kinda again from there I was just ablt to chug back to the sandbar.

Bit of wind came back so did a couple of short runs but still way underdone.

Went back to the car with the thought "I know how to bring in the wind, I'll rig big"

So after a quick derig and rerig I ventured forth once more, OH yeah baby we have power, unfortunately I've found another fin which dosen't like the way I sail, fin was unpredictably spinning on me sometimes when O'powered sometimes just cruising along. That said it was great fun belting along with some nicely powered up kit.CoolCool

The only disapointment was when I went to throw the 8.6 in the car I missed my trailer and it landed in the back of a red ute which took of to the sound of some maniacal laughterWink buggerCool

A nice session all in allCoolCool

Had planned to try for a bit of distnac e tomorrow but when passing Novara I heard the forecast for Saturday was now lookiking poor so went home and picked up trailer.

On arrival the general size being rigged was 6 ish ( except Adam) so rigged 5.8RSSII as forecast was for wind to pick up. By the time I rigged it was 6.7 falling to 7.8 weather.

Launced Iso 105, JP36 weedy and the RSS5.8. At times it was enough, just not often. But it was a lovely autunmn afternoon sail with the mob.

Did some great parts of gybes today, however never all in the same gybe. The lack of wind meant that I never had a fully powered alpha 500 attempt, or come to that a powered attempt at any of the divisions. Planning on a dawn start tomorrowCool
