Leighton Beach, WA

On the water at 2pm - mostly grovelled till about 4.30 - wind only 15 to 18 and I only had the small kit with me.

Luckily the wind increased at 4.30 to about 20-22 knots so I got in a couple of reasonably powered-up NMs.

Good sailing with Nick, Ken and Craig.

First ocean sail since last summer, very nice. Good fun with JJ, Ken and one other having a bit of fun in the choppy conditions. Starting to feel like summer yay.

Nice cruise at Melville after work. A bit light at Melville, but nice up at PW.

Got down to the beach and looked very light. Was going to rig the 7 but decided to play it safe and go the 6.2. The wind booted in as soon as I got on the water. Was a bit overdone or maybe it was the confused chop that made it a handful. Still was a good lesson learned and good to see JJ and Boz enjoy the wind at the end. Cool

Light wind which picked up once I had rigged 7.5 Turbo, so overpowered and just thinking of changing down when wind droppped a bit and ended up having a very enjoyable sail and quite a few planing gybes.

Good ocean naughty JJ.

Good to see that we improved our scores even though the wind did not play ball.

Nice one Ricey.. I am curious about your 29 weedy with the 7.5m, is that the same setup I tried the other day when I took your rig for a spin?
