Some pretty good gusts. Lumpy and weedy at Peli Point. Unfortunately got a little too much air and put my head through my 5.5 which I've only used three times Cry

what a day... all I wanted to do today was break 30... and managed it and more... I got to melville at around 1.30 and it was really choppy so the speeds where not so good. But it flattened out and got some really good solid gust. It felt comfortable at 32 and I reckon I could get a little more out of the kit. I think what made the difference what my new fin. Flying Objects 28 weedster - it felt great and didn't spinout once.

Looking forward to trying out this fin down at hardies. Very happy with the days sailing. Didn't see any pinnas down there though hope you guys had a good day.

Tabou Manta 59, 5.8 Koncept, F1 Falcon 26cm.

Short sesh @ Woodies in the late arvo.

Wind was up and down (20 - 30K) with some solid gusts.  Quite westerly, so the speed strip was a tad choppy (had a few sphincter-clenching moments bearing away in the heavy chop!).

But fxck it was fun!!

A few gutteral screams as I a hit the flat stuff and the juices started to flow!  Would've stayed longer, but I'd already been to Pt Walter (right after it switched off) and a busted top batten suggested I wasn't going to better the 35 on the dial.

Really glad I drove south and hooked into some frontal goodness.SmileSmileSmile

After a week crook I chickened out and rigged the 5.4 combat. Sail just didnt seem to have the guts to push it much past 30 until the wind really picked up. Over the handle bars with weed and chop breaking a harness line. At least the water up the nose cleared the sinuses. Pleased with the alpha. Wind was typical PT W up down and all over the shop with chop from varying directions.  Tide was actually too low for most of the day!! Bigdog was out enjoying his new toy and got some good runs.

JPslalom 84, 5.4 combat wave, 28cm JP.

EDIT: Alpha to trackpoints all other data doppler

In Lancelin for the weekend so sailed in the bay / main break. Not exciting speed but an enjoyable sail anyway. Couldnt post until now as no computers allowed at holiday house.

Congrats Marcel - well done on leaping the 30 K barrier - 40 next !

PS: I use doppler for everything including alphas is that OK ?

First speed session at the big G.  Tabou 74 litre, 5m Ezzy

Wind wasn't quite there, probably around 20 knots, still a very enjoyable sail.

Bugger about the sail Patrick. One of the downsides of this addiction. I think severnes R&D loft up in Osbourne park is doing repairs.

Well done on the PB's

Congratulations on the PBs Patrick: beware: the higher they go the harder they are to breakWink

Thanks guys. Apparently the loft is pretty good, they have each panel on the computer. I'm grateful it wasn't a mast or boom and I'm honoured to be in Jet's head piercing club Cool

What fin box you on Marcel? I have a 26 powerbox FO weedster you can try. Done 38 on that one at Pt W

Captured for the fellas up north when they return!

My boards have powerbox fin boxes...what is the max size sail you would use on a 26?

Used a 6.6 koncept which makes it a bit hard pushing across the wind (tends to spin out) but quick off the wind. Makes it harder to get upwind though. Would be better with a 5.5 or smaller.

Good team effort there guys!

Looks like Nebs hasn't switched me over yet (I think he's gone to the G'loo), so I'm still in the WSP Warriors at the moment.

Saw Mark at Pt Walter, but it was dead, so I drove down to Woodies.  Had a great little sesh down there all on my Pat Malone, scored a 35 on the dial.

Should count towards Pinna's score once Nebs makes the change.
