Tried my new board today, very different, it's going to take a while to get it dialed in.

Started with the lightning 6.0 and got my best speed, when the wind first started to pick up. Had the wrong boom on when it stepped up another notch, max extension, no room to adjust. Changed down to 5.2 hoping wind would keep picking up, but I think it died a bit.

Board is tricky to gybe, falls off the plane very easy. Should have changed boards to back up Hardies alpha, (congrats BTW hardie, if I'd known you'd done that I would have had a go to back it up),

but I just wanted to stay on the new one. It's much nicer in chop, all I have to figure out is how to make it go fast!

lechenault Inlet WSW 18-23knts then SSW 15knts

Got three powered long runs in. Bottom of third the wind swung to the south and dropped. On the first two runs thw wind was coming in waves about 40mts apart. It was hard to keep the speed up in the lulls.

had fun with mav. just loading his data from my garmin now

quick session after work, had a nice run from melville to point walter then a few runs in the bay before the wind started to drop, some nice gusts would have been nice to be on something smaller then but had a good quick sail anyway

Pity you weren't here bud, there was just a little patch around 4ish where it picked up a little maybe some gusts around 25?, just not quite long enough, the run was almost a perfect tide around 4ish as well, by 6.30pm it had deepened and not quite as good.  Pity the other 2 away workers sam and Crasher missed out as well, possible PB's were on the cards today if you'd been on the run with the right gust.  It was so flat and smooth, the 37 felt easy peasy!!!!!!!! Cool I was hoping it would pick up, I dared to dream, and huey detected, and it was over wind dropped.Cry

hey bender, did the garmin have a full track memory lst time you sailed? if the unit is set "wrap when full" off then recording stops and stays off when the track is full. Recording has to be turned on again manually I think... after a pb dist session faied to record a while ago ive got into the habit of always checking for track recoding at the start of a session;)

Yeh Tim i know it was not full because i deleated all the trip data from when Mav used it two weeks ago. I will get Mav sussed on it and explain how to check if its recording. i am not a fan of the Garmins the first one died after three months and they are a pain in the arse to use.

My navi is so much better and has never given me any stife
