25 (14457km): Short blast at Hardies - lacked a bit of enthusiasm but was better than several others who did not even rig. Did one big bear away way out wide on the run - the rest was cross wind out off the boat ramp. Tabou Manta 64, 6.6 Koncept, 36 Goldwing GT31 Doppler.
Slowboat (49232km): another nice day on the river. A good 5 knots lighter than yesterday (maybe 15-23 with a few puffs to 25), and plenty patchy. Tide was very low. Hit the bottom twice and ground the LE off a good part of my favourite 24cm fin. Trying Matt's 7.8m RSS, and my favourite SP44. Thanks Matt!
Stringer (7685km): peil point.. more later..
Claude (28076km): Great cruisy sail at Hardies, IS 86, 6.7CR, 34 Goldwing, had a few runs on SS W49 but wind not quite strong enough . GT31 doppler .
Chris Adamson (14466km): VERY brief sesh out of Peli Pt. Quite windy and well powered up on 6.6 Konnie and Manta 59. Afer 5pm the chop was lining up beautifully out in the middle and perfect for gunning down the lines - exhilarating stuff. Slowy; That's four days straight of 40 plus - but prepare for a five day hiatus now as the the mighty seabreeze takes a break. I haven't had a lot of it but must say; it has been a classic week! Let's all be thankful for the mighty Freo Doctor!!!!!! Also, Slowy, after four consecutive 40+ days, could this be the end you your complaining about weak seabreezes? "It was only blowing 28 knots and I really wasn't powered up up on my 12.6m" |
