Up and down wind at Melville between 10 and 11.30.

6.6 Koncept 09, iSonic 122 and Tabou Manta 64. Good gust came through just before packing up and 3 x 33+ peaks to end the day on the Manta with 34 liberty [goldwing clone] fin.

About lunchtime at Melville for a short sail - hit the water just as PD (25) was getting off.  Fairly gusty but good fun - Manta 67, Koncept 6.6, Venom 36.  Pleased with the Alpha - gybes are slowly coming together.

Did the hardies mission today for something different. Really up and down but a few gusts came through with the rain. Plenty of standing around in the shallows waiting to get going too. Had one nicely powered run and just kept it going for I think a NM PB for me in WA. I knew it was a pretty steady one but not that steady! 7.8m RSR, CA SP53, CL28S (raked). Good to catch up with the crab crunchers. Its been a while.

Broke the backup 6.7 while rigging... so 5.5 for me. Worked ok although 0 downhaul and a 30cm draggy weedie was making the nose trim down too much in the gusts. At least kinda got a mile on the first run.... Although If I'd had the gear working a later, aborted attempt might have got 30+ (32ish 1000m)

You got some nice speeds at the end there Pete.  I was tempted to go back out...actually pulled out the S-Type to change over boards, but thought I'd better get home on time.

Thanks for the blat on the iSonic.

Thanks guys, I'm pretty stoked with that. On a windy day it should be good for another knot or two I hope. Hey Chris did you leave your old speakers behind when you traded up Wink Hopefully timmy posts a NM. He was waiting for enough wind to get planing a lot of the time. Steve, it was nice in the gusts hey! Good effort hanging onto your 7.8m today.

Very tempting, definately more fit for the verge than the Marantz. Akai's relegated to the garage where they may sound better in harmony with my drop saw.
