Wow!

Decided on a little mish to The Pit and found the strongest wind I have ever seen! I don't think it dropped below 40, hovered mostly around 50, annd gusted over 60! Surprised

In four hours I only really managed one run where I could sheet in at all, and this produced the 43.98 peak on the dial, 42.77 ten sec, and 41.37 500, so I am super-stoked. The other runs were just totally sheeted out and trying to do something...anything.

Used the Tabou Manta 49, North Warp F2009 5.2, and KA/ Lockwood 20cm.

Regular readers of GPSTC have plenty of treats in store tonight so stay tuned...Wink

EDIT; The previous 2 sec I posted was off my laptop and must have been trackpoint - oops!Embarassed

I would also like to add; massive respect to all of the Victorian KA guys. It was so impressive to see you guys showing the way!

Also, as another example of how windy it was, after one crashed run I attempted to walk back up the run, but for ten minutes I just could not turn my sail over - it would have just been wrenched out of my hands and flung away never to be retrieved!

...and another thing, people always say of their PB "Oh it was just so effortless". Not me - I was absolutely bloody terrified!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the only occasion I can ever remember where there were people standing around on the beach saying "If only it would just back off by twenty knots, it would be epic".

Thanks for all the positive comments too!

Nice work Ado - 43.96 - awesome - and almost on the plane home already!!

Big grin I expect - as in the photo online at seabreeze.

I trust Slowey and Timmy can add to your brilliant effort and post a decent set of SRM numbers!!

Congrats Chris. Nothing could be 'effortless' in those conditions - that makes your PB an even greater achievement.

Well done.
