Tim Stockton (3894km): Nice session at meville ona stroger-than usual SW'er. Tide was spot on for speed runs for me, however there was a bit of carnage from the people running more than a 22cm fin through the shallows....
Whitey (887km): Super gusty session at Pt Walter - never did get the angles right with the wind.... CA50, MkII 6.7, Falcon 28
Jay (15150km): Isonic 86, Code Red 6.5, 30cm Drake fin. A great blast for a change!! Good to finally meet you Snides....
25 (14457km): A frustrating day for me. Hit the water at 5.25 am at Melville - the breeze had not set in and was up and down like a yoyo, was on 7.5 and Isonic 122 - have not included the data [2 sec max of 28.xx]. Off water before 6.30, on the road to work before 7! Got away from work at about 4.40pm. At Melviile just after 5 and on the water about 5.20pm. Very gusty but nice to use the 6.4 Koncept 2010 with Manta 64 and Falcon33 - some nice peaks but was a bit timid as the tide was apparently low and several booms were busted in big stacks earlier in the arvo! Great work Norts! Ado - bring it on!! Great team effort SRM - focus on the big prize boys!
Chris Adamson (14466km): I tell you what - that was a long, hard day! First sail for a month and was keen to make it count for the team so Norts and I decided that hours and KM were the mission. Despite changing from 7.0 to 6.3 and then onto 5.7, I spent the whole day overpowered, never more so than on the 5.7! The breeze just kept getting stronger and it wasn't a hell of a lot of fun towards the end, but with 150km under my belt, I wasn't stopping. The run wasn't working as the high water made it rough as hell so this was all done more or less back and forth across the estuary. Well done team - we're back in the race! Hardies Run, Tabou Mantas 69,59 & 49, North Warp F2009 7.0, 6.3 & 5.7, Talons 40 & 32, KA / Lockwood 23.

quick sess at shits ville
edit a quick sess as mentioned to try out a new sail and boom(which was unusable due to too short a harness lines..dohh) only got lit once decided the run over the shallows and snot where an invitation for disaster... hats off to Tim for putting his life on the line and stealing the top 2 sec fortune favours the brave! |
