I have been at Merimbula for Mambo (as a spectator, but did sail with the competitors on one day).

For this session, I sailed at the lake entrance, which can be phenomenal when wind is from the south and the tide is "in". That's what happened. Didn't expect much, but the session turned out to be a gem. Water state was oh so smoooooth.  Laughing

I was very happy with the whole "balance" of my board, sail and fin. Felt just right this time; best it's ever been.

Onya,

its great when you can sail a spot like that, the tide is up, plenty of water over the sandbars and the wind is from the right direction and at a decent strength.
