5408 days ago Boggy 2 really turned it on today. 20 - 25 knots - sw/s winds. Another 5 knots and a little more sw and it would be perfect. A speed bank would be good too. Although not far from perfect with the flat section in the middle. Loving the isonic 50 at the moment with the strong winds and the 2009 5.8 ka koncept and c3 24cm venom - great combo.

5407 days ago After 1 run on the 6m Gaastra at Boggy II in 25 knots decided discretion was called for and changed down to the NP 4.5m wave sail and JP 74 wave board. Not terribly fast but in control and good fun.

5406 days ago New gear to tune and a day very similar to 2 weeks ago.
First run out my harness started to tear apart(this ones under warranty...) and sailing back for a spare unhooked blew the forearms out. The old harness felt more racy but if felt like I had too much weight for the choppy conditions and was underfinned with my flatwater fave 31SL7. I didn't feel to confident on the new stuff in the chop and am a bit rusty! After persisting for a while thinking I just needed to get things tuned I took off the weight and instantly gained control but by that time I was too worn to improve on my earlier times. The JP59 felt great and the deck was very confortable. Also found I am crap at gybing in chop with a weight jacket. Will have to remind myself never to us the jacket when it is windy except for on a flatter strip. Saw a few turtles early on and was happy not to connect. Got a little fotttage which I will post sometime showing the conditions.
