Mike S posting for Terry B.          (CA SL62, Pryde Z1 7.4, C3 Venom 38)

Day 3 of NZ slalom nationals at Dunedin. 6 races for each competitor today in just enough wind (13kt minimum) to run them. Most using 7.0 to 8.5s.

Terry B was definitely on the oldest rig with his 1998 7.4 Z1 Neil Pryde and still getting great results and  top speeds.

He finished 4th overall.

Final results were....

Gareth Wood (Fanatic/Tushingham) 1st 16.5 pts,           James Dinnis (Carbon Art/Maui Sails) 2nd 19 pts,

Clayton Dougan (Fanatic/Severne) 3rd 32pts,              Terry Beentjes (Carbon Art/Maui and Pryde) 4th 37 pts,

Terry Alkemade (Carbon Art/Maui Sails) 5th 41pts

Day 3 Slalom Nationals ,.............Mykz SL66, Maui TR3 7.0, MFC RC2 42 fin

6 heats in light wind,

Organisers shortened course down to suit the wind shadows and max run was down to 450 metres between gybes.

Nice conditions to finish off in, lots of average starts and consequently got swamped in almost every race and my alphas and mile show it !

Finished up 13th overall and P2 in the Grand Dads (Masters 50+) class.

Great comp with 26 heats for each sailor in everything from 13-30kt winds, used all 3 boards and all 3 sails.
