Drift (6257km): A solo trip to AREA 45
Wind South East round to North East- 10-20 kts gusty peaking at 25 Outgoing tide over the spit was creating some standing waves. Very lumpy and challenging. The water was murky so it was hard to make out where the banks were and where the deep water was My new peak speed occurred seconds before i found the bottom at full speed. Lucky it was a mud bottom but my dismount was spectacular! Will take a few more visits to dial into this spot.

JAK (12211km): Warm up session for the Southerly Busters Team Day at Sandy Point. Had two day passes from the missus (which doesn't happen that often) and thought I might cash them in and stay the night to make the most of it. Arrived at around 11:30ish and just caught George when he was going out. He and I ripped through the channel in a ESE at around 20ish knots for about 5 hours. Lots of fun. (thanks for the sandwich George, my shout next time). Board: Tabou Rocket 105, 34cm Tabou Freeride fin, Sail: NP HellCat 6.2 |
