Really nice session in the harbour, much windier than forecast, needed the big board to get upwind in the onshore conditions, felt good to get some miles in, more wind next week?

Ditched the gloves and hat get in the way Brrrrrrr bloody cold without them but heyho found a solution for the dreaded forearm cramp Tiger Balm before you go out sorted!!! (2 and halve hours no pain)

Went out with the old faithful 6.3 Ram and Falcon 80 never went over 30 knots but in a S/E its a bit difficult with the chop but still happy and not a bad hour either.

Now then as for the team your so close to swabbing the decks for a month!!! I skipped work to go out today. The Matrix had to go snowboarding for a week El Reg went doing the family stuff maybe out later the rest i don't know!!!!!!! But luckily Jim got out just as i was packing up so at least we have one good shipmate Jim you have just been promoted to Deck Hand.

Well done on the pbs guys, you are hardy!. I sailed in a shortie wetsuitt this afternoon but nearly went for the 4/3 steamer. Air temp was just 21CEmbarassed.  A decade in WA has made me soft: the first 16 years of my windsurfing was done in lakes in Kent and the sea off the south east of England! I remember sailing at Easter in Brighton (circa 1990), i decided as it was a sunny day I would not bother with the neoprene balaclava. I fell in and could have easily laid back and gone to sleep and drowned, the effect of cold water on the head and neck is horrible. .

These are the temps at Greenwich light vessel today: sounds pretty rough to meSurprised

Jim - great first outing..and a great choice of board to eat the southerly chop!

Back from Grandad duties...If its not too wet I might try for a sail later tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon.

Great effort, nice one chaps keep up the good work . We should do ok when we gety some decent conditions and can all get on the water together hopefully the clocks going forward will help aswell. Looks like some wind this week but pretty cold aswell. Loads of  snow here in chamonix so cant wait to use the new board ,c u in a week or so.  Pete
