End of the month mission at Hardies. Mile was the focus.

Got to Hardie's to see Claude out and a good breeze.

Consulted with Pointman and we decided to go straight for miles. Run was pretty choppy at the bottom end and kept killing the speed in the chop. Wind filled in and we changed to speed boards.

Best mile was the last and had 2sec best in it. First half averaged about 34 and then hit the chop and killed the speed.

Got to be happy with a PB though.

Good to catch up with a bunch of the crew. Well done to Windxtasy for making the trip after a rough week and Pointman for backing up the mile.

Fun bump and jump session at Pinaroo.  Ezzy SE 5.0, Starboard Acid 80l, Select 25 wave fin.

Wind was solid 25 knots, got a couple of good jumps but no duckys or tacks (despite me trying pretty hard!)

Great to have the first 'winter' sail of the year, low grey clouds, solid wind, much fewer kiters out.  Good fun Laughing

Great fun at Hardies.

Got down there 2ish and it looked fairly windy.  Rigged the 93 S-Type + 7.0 TR5 + 34 FO weedster and went for a few runs.

Huey ramped it up a notch and I was getting pretty over-powered on this combo.  Came in and changed down to my speed combo...CA47 + 6.4 Koncept + 23 KA assy.

Back into it around 3.30 and the breeze was a solid 25K.  Naughty miles were the day's mission so charged on with Mark chasing miles down the strip.  High tide so the run was pretty bumpy and the latter part of the miles were quite hairy.  Pulled up a few times after getting the 'death wobbles' at speed launching off the back of chop.

Really stoked to get some good wind so late in the season.  Plenty of crew out enjoying the fun...props to the Bendyman for some great PB's in challenging conditions. Cool

Falcon, WA, AU

Never really felt comfortable today but it was good to have some wind and get out on the water.

The 85L Sonic kept trying to leap out of the water. More comfortable on the waveboard but slower.

I think I need a smaller slalom board.

Edit* Surprising to post these results and find I had a PB when I felt like I struggled all day. Ha!

If there's one thing to be said for low scores it's that it's easy to get a PB nearly everytime you sail!

Notso easy when you've done as many miles as Lao Shi and Pointman. Congratulations on your miles Mark and Greg. Well deserved.

Nice to catch up with Elmo again.

A full house of PB's, well done Birdman!

Pretty good speeds for Melville yesterday, looks like you're on the pace already.Cool

Glad you got a sail in Anita, and a PB to boot.  Nothing like a bit of saltwater therapy.

A full set of PB's birdman, well done. That would have given you a buzz.

And yes Greg and Mike the saltwater was good therapy. We were loaned a car after ours got trashed in the storm so on Friday I decided if my board is fixed I'm going sailing (despite having heaps of work to catch up on after storm related diversions). Saturday the board still wasn't fixed but hey wind doesn't come along every day at this time of year so I fished out my old board and packed to go. Just as I was about to leave Hoops calls to say my board is fixed and he thought I might like to use it this afternoon. So out with the old and in with the new and off I went.It was waay too big for the conditions - it is my lightwind board afterall - but it was all a good learning experience and a better way to end the week than where it started.
