Slowboat (49791km): Finally a bit of wind in Perth. Typical gusty NWer at Melville. Some good bullets coming through and a lot of holes. Tide was up when I started so the chop was pretty nasty. As the tide dropped, the rare burst of wind dislodged the seaweed in big floating clumps and it became a bit of a minefield so ruled out runs over the shallower water. Fastest peak was in the middle of the river towards majestic point sailing between the 50cm+ swell lines in a rain squall. GPS came out at 40.2 but it looks like a spike. Didnt feel like 40. Next fastest peak a few seconds later at just under 39. The difference in feeling between 38 and 40 is pretty huge. Pretty happy considering it was onshore and quite deep water with a lot of cross chop in the swell lines. Nude 54, EIII 7.0 and 6.2 cl25raked. | ||||||||||||||||||
